The first time using nail tape.
Futuristic |
I made the mistake of waiting a day before shooting these. The edges of the tape starts to come off immediately. Is there even a way to prevent it? Why did that rhyme (in finnish)? Even the rhinestone in my index finger has moved while I was sleeping, bleh. D:
Huomasitko jotain outoa?
Did you notice something odd?
Toi ei oo mun peukalonkynsi.
That's not my thumbnail.
Jees. Se mitä pelkäsin kävi sitten toteen. Ja pirun kivuliaasti. Töissä joku liu'utti ison raskaan paketin hihnaa pitkin juuri sillä samalla sekunnilla kun olin ottamassa toista pakettia sen edestä. Paketti iskeytyi hemmetin lujaa mun peukaloon, veri lensi ja loppupäivän kärsinkin vihlovasta kivusta ja kirvelyksestä. Kynsi on pahimmiltaa katkennut tossa missä on nuoli ekassa kuvassa. :(
Yeah. The thing I was afraid of came true. And very painfully. Someone slid a big, heavy package across the conveyor belt the same exact secod I was reaching for a package in front of it. The package crashed straight to my thumb, blood flew and the rest of the day I suffered sharp pain and stinging. The nail is at it's worst where the arrow is in the first picture. I have never had a fake nail before, but I rather wear it than watch that stub for the next 6 months before it would be fully grown. Even the surface of the nail is splintered. This is one unlucky nail, it just broke in september :(

Could someone who knows a bit more about fake nails tell if I should swap the nail every time I change design or can I just remove the varnish off that one? Of course I have to switch it while my own nail grows but it's gonna take awhile..
