Kävin katsomassa leffan jo viikko sitten mutta sain vasta nyt aikaiseksi tehdä nämä. Pahoittelen sitä, että uuden postauksen tekemisessä kestää niin kauan - se johtuu siitä että manikyyrini pysyy hyvinä niin pitkään, etten millään jaksaisi ottaa niitä pois (veemäisintä koko tässä hommassa on kynsilakkojen poisto, se on niin sottaista ja pitkäkestoista). Ja ihan vaan pakko mainita, että ei, en ole "uusi" Nälkäpelin ihkuttaja, luin kirjat jo puolitoista vuotta sitten, kun kaverini antoi ekan osan 18-vuotislahjaksi. (Täytän tänä vuonna 20.) Siitä lähtien olen odottanut leffaa, ja kun pääsin sen katsomaan pompin melkein penkilläni...
I went to see the movie a week ago but only now I got the time to make these. I apologize that making a new post takes so much time - it's simply because my manis stay good for so long, that I don't bother to remove them (the most annoying thing for me is to remove nail polish, it's so messy and takes a lot of time). And I have to mention, that I am not a "new" The Hunger Games fan, I read the books over a year ago when my friend gave the first one to me for my 18th birthday (I'm turning 20 this year.) Since then I have been waiting for the movie to be made, and when I got to see it I was almost bouncing on my seat...

 

Liekit on tehty punaisella ja keltaisella akryylillä.
The flames are painted with red and yellow acryls.
Tein kollaasin siitä miten piirsin matkijanärhen (klikkaa suuremmaksi):
I made a collage how I drew the mockingjay (click to enlarge):

1. Käytä litteäkärkistä sivellintä (ei, en tajunnut ottaa omastani kuvaa) ja hahmota ympyrän muoto.
Use a brush with a flat end (didn't realize to take a pic of mine) and perceive the circle.
2. Vahvista ympyrä ja piirrä haluamaasi kohtaan viiva, joka menee ympyrän yli. (Siiven kärki)
Strenghten the circle and draw a line overpassing the circle. (The edge of the wing)
3. Piirrä ulonevasta kärjestä alaspäinmenevä viiva -> siivestä tulee V:n muotoinen, piirrä kärjistä symmetriset alaspäinmenevät viivat. Väritä siipi jos haluat.
Draw a line going down from there -> the wing becomes a V shape. Draw symmetrical short lines going downwards. Color the wing if you want.
4. Piirrä siiven alusta niin pitkä suora viiva, että se ylettyy ympyrän ulkopuolelle.
Draw a line from the beginning of the wing so far that it overpasses the circle.
5. Piirrä toinen V:n muoto.
Draw another V shape.
6. Yhdistä V:n päädyt ja hahmota pää, sen ei tarvitse vielä näyttää valmiilta.
Combine the line-ends and perceive the head, it doesn't have to look ready yet.
7. Piirrä pyrstö. (unohdin ottaa vaihekuvia.........)
Draw the tail. (I forgot to take pics at this point..)
8. Väritä lintu.
Colour the bird.
9. Piirrä pää valmiiksi: pitkä ohut nokka ja päälaelle häivytys.  Piirrä nuoli pätkissä, älä missään nimessä tee suoraa viivaa.
Finish the head: a long slim beak and few strokes on the forehead. Draw the arrow in parts, do NOT draw a straight line.
10. Pidätä hengitystä ja yritä vakaalla kädellä saada nuolen kärki tehtyä.
Hold your breath and try to make the tip of the arrow.

Pistinpä muuten detailbrusheja tilaukseen, omani on niin huonossa kunnossa. Olisin saanu tosta paljon kivemman jos omistaisin parempia siveltimiä. D:
I ordered some detail brushes, mine are in such a bad condition. These nails would have been better if I had better brushes. D:

Suunnittelin kynsiäni ensin tekokynsiin. Tekokynnessä olevan matkijanärhen tein eri siveltimellä kuin tämän mikä on omassa kynnessäni, siksi se on niin erinäköinen.
This is how I planned my nails. The mockingjay in the fake nail is drawn with another brush, for it looks so different.

Festive

Vinoa ranskista en oo tehnytkään aikoihin. Aloitin tummansinisellä lakalla ja lisäsin kultaiset ja valkoiset viivat koristelakoilla. Mikrohelmien laitoissa en pyrkinyt täydelliseen viivaan, halusin että ne jää "rosoisiksi". Lakkasin varpaani samalla kuvioinnilla yli viikko sitten ja halusin kokeilla sitä sitten sormienkin kynsiin :D Toi tummansininen lakka on ebaysta ostettu "Needme Paris" -lakka, joita tilasin myös tulevan arvonnan palkinnoksi, halusin vaan ilmoittaa että vaikka se lakkavaiheessa saattaa jäädä epätasaiseksi, se kuitenkin kuivuu littanaksi ja tasaiseksi. Samanmerkkistä lakkaa käytin niissä ampiaiskynsissä.

I haven't done a sideswipe in a long time. I started with the dark blue varnish (Needme Paris) and added the stripes with 2way nail art polish and Golden rose's white. I wasn't aiming for a perfect line with the microbeads, I wanted it to be jagged. I varnished my toenails with the same stripes over a week ago and decided to try it on my fingernails as well. :D

Pelkkä pikapäivitys ja vaan yksi kuva.
Just a quick update and one photo.

Kevättä rinnassa :D Tykkään tästä kynsien pituudesta hurjasti. Just sopivat, leikkasin melkein puolet pois. Näin joskus vuonna nakki ja peruna jossain samantyyliset kynnet, joten päätin toteuttaa oman versioni, koska oli ideat lopussa - paitsi nyt heti kun oon saanu kynnet lakatuksi niin ideoita putkahtaakin tusina u__u käykö teillekin niin?

Spring arrives :D I like this nail lenght a lot, I cut almost half of them off. I saw similar nails somewhere sometime, so I decided to do my own version of them, cos I was out of ideas - except now that I've finished the mani, I get dosens of new ideas. Does that ever happen to you?


Niin ja toinen asia. Pidän arvonnan tänä keväänä! Kustansin palkinnot itse ja odottelen niiden saapumista, kun kaikki on kilahtanut postiin niin aloitan kisan. Palkintoja tulee olemaan 3 tai 4, jotain pientä kynsikrääsää. Siitä lisää sitten myöhemmin. Women's day

Koitin vain miettiä jotain naisellisen yksinkertaista. (Eikä aikaa olisi riittänytkään monimutkaisempiin.) Pohjalakan päällä on, vaikkei sitä huomaa, yksi kerros flormarin "valkoista" lakkaa, joka näköjään sattuikin olemaan ranskiksen alulakka. No siitä johtuen tein sitten ranskiksen. Punaiset viivat tein 2way nail art -lakalla, ruusun 3D muotilla (olen tehnyt samoja ruusuja ennenkin) ja tarrat on ebaysta. Huomaa kyllä halpojen tarrojen laadun, kun etusormesta on jo yksi terälehti lähtenyt kun olin suihkussa ja pikkurillin kukka leijuu puoliksi ilmassa.. Anyway, lyhennän näitä piakkoin kun alkaa olla liian pitkät.

I was trying to make something feminine and simple. (I didn't really have time to make complicated nails.) I put on basecoat and one layer of flormar's "white" varnish, which it wan't - it was a basecoat for a frenchie. That's why I made a french manicure. The red stripes are made with a 2 way nail art varnish, the rose I made with a 3D mold (I've made the same ones before), and the stickers are from eBay. Not really good sort, since one pedal from index finger already tore off and the flower in pinky in hovering half in the air....Anyway, I'm going to cut these a little bit soon, they're getting too long.

Hehe! Maybe these will bring me luck or something.. It just bugs me that I didn't realize how light some of the clovers would look when shooted by using the lightning.

En tajunnutkaan miten mun kynnet on kasvanut poissaoloni aikana kun vertaan aiempaan postaukseen :D Kynsinauhat on just sen näköset etten oo huolehtinu niistä viikkoihin..
I just noticed how long my nails have grown while I was away, comparing to the earlier post :D My cuticles look exactly like I haven't taken care of them for weeks... Which I haven't.

These would be great for st. Patrick's day, but we don't have that here.

Kun multa puuttuu joku väri lakkana, sekoitan akryylejä keskenään. Näitä kahta käytin tällä kertaa. Apilat tein jälleen itse muoteilla ja siihen tuhrautu tovi jos toinenkin..
When I'm missing a color as a nail polish, I mix acrycls. These are the ones I used this time. As always, I made the clovers by myself using molds and it took a little while..

Seison tuolla kattelemassa tähtiä. Revotulet ei ihan jaksanu syttyä mut näky tollanen kajo.
I'm standing there looking at stars. The northern lights didn't quite appear, but there was that shimmer of them.
