Silver Lining

Tämä onkin jännä lakka mitä käytin, Gina Tricotin "Puff powder". Lakkasin sitä yhden kerroksen joka kynteen, ja sen kuivuttua lakkasin toisen kerroksen vain tippeihin - ja mikä ero! Ekaa kerrosta ei erota ollenkaan..
The polish I used is Gina Tricot's "Puff powder", which is a funny one - I painted one coat on every nail, and after they dried I added a second coat only as a french manicure. And what a difference! You couldn't tell there's the same polish all over.

Kuviot piirsin Kiss nailart-lakoilla vapaalla kädellä. Kaartuvan kuvion tekeminen on äärimmäisen ärsyttävää. On vaikea saada halutun näköistä tulosta, ainakin minulla. Oon kattonut youtubesta kaiken maailman tutorialeja ja kokeillut ja aina tulee yhtä sotkua eikä sellaista virheetöntä jälkeä kuin niissä tutoissa. Harjoitus tekee mestarin....
I drew the lines with Kiss nailart-polishes with a free hand. Drawing a curved line is extremely annoying to me. It's hard to get the desired result. I've watched many youtube tutorials about them but I can never copy them flawlessly.. Practise makes perfect, huh.

Tein nämä kynnet vähän hölmösti, koska lakkasin aluksi kynnet punaisella hologrammilakalla (flormar 809) vaikka olisi ollut helpompi tehdä nämä lakkaamalla kynnet ensin valkoisella ja sen päälle raidoittaa punaisella. Nyt kynsien reunoihin jäi hieman verestävän näköinen efekti, oivoi :--D No, lakkasin sitten valkoisella nailart-lakalla linet ja täytin ne valkoisella lakalla. Tein vielä yhden ohuen valkoisen viivan keskelle ja mustalla "kalterit". Odottelin seuraavaan päivään topcoatin levittämistä koska lähes kaikilla topcoateilla on taipumusta sotkea nailart-lakkoja, en sitten tiedä mistä johtuu, mutta kyllä ärsyttää. Ja niin, vaikka lakat oli kuivunut yön yli niin topcoat silti levitti niitä. Se ei kuvissa kuitenkaan näy koska kuvasin nämä ilman topcoatia.

I did this manicure in bit of a silly way, since I first painted my nails with the red holographic polish (flormar 809) and added the white areas after. It would have been simplier just to paint the nails white and make a red vertical line. Oh well. So, after adding the white areas with normal white nailpolish and a white nailart-polish, I drew the "bars" in black and I let them dry till the next day before adding topcoat, since it usually smudges nailart-polishes. It's really annoying. And yep, even though I let the polishes dry over a night, the topcoat still smudged them. Argh! But it doesn't show on pics, since I took them before adding the topcoat. 

Mermaid Effect

Kynnet, jotka syntyivät tekemällä, ilman suunnittelua. Sellaista "tätä, tätä ja tätä" -meininkiä, ja lopputulos muistuttaa minua jostain merenneidon pyrstöstä. Eikä ollut ollenkaan sellainen kun kuvittelin.
Nails, that were made by just doing, not planning beforehand. "This, this and this" -kind of style, and the result reminds me of some kind of mermaid tail. And wasn't what I expected.

Aloitin lakkaamalla kaksi kerrosta GT:n Have a mint -lakkaa pohjaksi.Tein vinon ranskiksen GT:n tummanvihreällä Forest night -lakalla, jonka kuivuttua laitoin sen päälle flormarin helmiäistä hologrammilakkaa, joka muutti sävyn siniseksi. Kellertävän lampun valossa sen sävy muuttuu violetiksi.
I started with two coats of GT's Have a mint -polish. I added a dark green sideswipe with GT's Forest night -polish, and after it dried I painted it with a holographic nail polish, which turned it blue. Under a yellowish light the shade turns to deep purple.

Koitin saada violettiä ylemmissä kynsissä näkymään.Viimeistelin kynnet epätasaisella rivillä kahdeksankulmaisilla hileillä, kultaisilla ja hopeisilla. Olen ihan hurahtanut tuohon hologrammilakkaan ja en malta odottaa nähdä mitä se tekee muille sävyille :D
I tried to capture the purpleness. I finished the mani with octagon flakes, golden and silver. I've fallen in love with that holographic polish and can't wait to find out what it does to other colours :D

Modern Tiger

Oon omaksi yllätyksekseni lakannut kynnet jopa 3 kertaa tällä viikolla ja annan näiden nyt pysyä jonkinaikaa. Haha :D Halusin testata miten nämä kaksi hologrammilakkaa toimii yhdessä, ja ihan hyvältä näyttää. Hologrammilakat siis kimaltaa valossa, niin kuvasin nämä salamalla että värit tulee paremmin esiin :)
To my own surprise I've done my nails 3 times this week and I'll let these ones stay for a while longer. Hah :D I wanted to see how these two holographic nail polishes would work together, and it's looking good. Holographic nailpolish twinkles in the light, so I tried to bring that up in the photos.

Viivoista ei tullut ihan halutun symmetrisiä, mutta näyttää silti kivalle vähän kauempaa katsottuna.
The lines didn't come out perfectly, but they still look nice from afar.

Tässä on vielä yhdet kynnet jotka tein mutta joihin en ollut täysin tyytyväinen, joten en viitsinyt tehdä sille omaa postausta, vaan liitän sen tähän loppuun.
Here is another manicure I did but wasn't satisfied with, so I didn't feel like making a post just about them. So here they are at the end.
