Modern Tiger

Oon omaksi yllätyksekseni lakannut kynnet jopa 3 kertaa tällä viikolla ja annan näiden nyt pysyä jonkinaikaa. Haha :D Halusin testata miten nämä kaksi hologrammilakkaa toimii yhdessä, ja ihan hyvältä näyttää. Hologrammilakat siis kimaltaa valossa, niin kuvasin nämä salamalla että värit tulee paremmin esiin :)
To my own surprise I've done my nails 3 times this week and I'll let these ones stay for a while longer. Hah :D I wanted to see how these two holographic nail polishes would work together, and it's looking good. Holographic nailpolish twinkles in the light, so I tried to bring that up in the photos.

Viivoista ei tullut ihan halutun symmetrisiä, mutta näyttää silti kivalle vähän kauempaa katsottuna.
The lines didn't come out perfectly, but they still look nice from afar.

Tässä on vielä yhdet kynnet jotka tein mutta joihin en ollut täysin tyytyväinen, joten en viitsinyt tehdä sille omaa postausta, vaan liitän sen tähän loppuun.
Here is another manicure I did but wasn't satisfied with, so I didn't feel like making a post just about them. So here they are at the end.

Sinking

Sininen lakka on Gina Tricotin "Monaco Blue".
The blue varnish is Gina Tricot's "Monaco Blue".

Heartful

Yksinkertainen ja nopea manikyyri. Alla oleva kultainen lakka on Gina Tricotin "Gold", sydämen väri on flormarin 820. Rajasin sydämen Sinful coloursin nailart-lakalla. Sydämen piirsin suoraan lakan omalla sudilla, niin ei tarvinnut sählätä muilla siveltimillä.
A simple and fast manicure. The base is Gina Tricot's "Gold", the colour of the heart is flormar's 820. I lined the heart with Sinful colours' white nailart-polish. I drew the heart with the polish's own brush.

Nimettömässä olevaa rusettia en ole tehnyt itse, tilasin sen kauan aikaa sitten eBaysta.
The ribbon in the ring finger isn't selfmade, I ordered it a long time ago from eBay.

Folded

Vaikutteen näihin kynsiin sain tästä kynsitutorialivideosta, mutta tein sen omilla väreillä ja järjestelin strassit erilailla. Nämä kynnet on varmaan yhdet mun lempparit mitä oon ikinä tehnyt. Kävin viimeviikolla ostelemassa uusia kynsilakkoja ja mukaan tarttui 13 lakkaa, näissä käytin kahta niistä.

I got inspiration from this nail art tutorial, but I used different colours and arranged the rhinestones differently. These nails are probably one of my favourites of what I've done. Last week I went to buy some new nail polishes, and I bought 13. I used two of them here.

Right hand

Vähän aikaa sitten postiluukkuun kilahti eBaysta tilaamani (korealaiset) akryylivärit, jotka maksoi muistaakseni n. 13e. Eli ei kalliit akryyleiksi ollenkaan. Käytin vihreiden viivojen maalaamiseen oikeassa yläkulmassa olevaa sävyä, ja kuten kynsistä huomaa niin sävy ei ole ollenkaan tasainen. En ihan vielä voi tuomita akryylien laatua mutta ei se kauhean valoisalta näytä... D:
Some time ago I got the acryls I ordered from eBay. They were about 16usd, so not that expensive. I used the green one in the right corner to paint the stripes in these nails, but as you can see the colour isn't very smooth or even. I can't still judge these colours harshly, but it's not looking too good D:

Käyttämäni lakat: eBaysta tilaamani sinful coloursin valkoinen koristelakka, aivan ihana (ja en enää joudu käyttämään liimamaista Golden rosea<3), Tigeristä hankittu vihreä hilelakka (sävy 41) ja Gina Tricotista ostamani "Have a Mint", uusi suosikkini.

Hoot Hoot

Pöööllöjä, koska pöllöt on mun lempilintuja. Surffailin weheartitissä inspiksen puutteessa ja törmäsin tällaiseen värikkääseen pöllömanikyyriin, ja pakkohan sitä oli kokeilla!
Ooowls, because they are my favourite birds. I was surfing on weheartit for the lack of inspiration and I came across this colourful owl manicure, and I just had to try it!

Pohja- ja ranskispohjalakan jälkeen lakkasin tipin pöllön vatsan värisellä sävyllä. Sen jälkeen otin käyttöön akryylimaalit ja detail brushin. Piirsin kaartuvan smileyn korviksi ja vatsakaaren ja väritin pöllön ruumiin. Lisäsin nokan ja pilkut vatsaan samalla sudilla ja käytin suurta dottertoolta silmiin. Yhteensä näihin meni varmaan sellaiset 5 tuntia, koska kuivumisen odottelua ja värien vaihtelua oli niin paljon.
After the base I varnished the tip with the color of the owl's belly. Then I used only acrylic paint and a detail brush. I drew a smiley for the ears and the round shape in their stomach and colored the rest of the owl. I added the peak and dots with the same detail brush. For the eyes, I used a big dottingtool. It took around 5 hours to finish these, since there was so much waiting for them to dry and the change of colours.

Tuli vähän pöllön näköinen pöllö... get it? :D

Fivestoke Flowers

I'm back! It's been a while since last post, welcome new readers!

Yritin ekaa kertaa "fivestroke" kukkia. Yhtä terälehteä kohden siis tehdään viisi edestakasvetoa ja lopulta pitäisi muodostua kukka. Kyseisien kukkien tekoon tarvitsee 2 valittua akryylimaalisävyä (joista toinen mielellään valkoinen) ja neliönmuotoinen sivellin. Siveltimen toinen pääty dipataan valkoiseen ja toinen pääty valittuun sävyyn, itse käytin punaista. En itse vielä onnistunut niin hyvin mutta olenkin ekakertalainen :D Oikeaan käteen maalaaminen on todella vaikeaa, en edes kehdannut kuvata niitä...
First time I tried the "fivestroke" flowers. For each petal you do five forth-and-back strokes and it forms a flower. (or it should.) You need 2 colors of acrylic paint, for which one should be white and a square-tipped brush. The other end of the brushtip is dipped in white, other one in the color of your choise. I didn't nail it yet, but it's my first time trying haha.. It's really, really hard to paint the right hand D:

Tällaista sivellintä käytin. Ehdin jo pestä sen, mutta jos joku ei aiemmasta selityksestä tajunnut niin kuvasta näkyy paremmin miten olen dipannut vaan puoleenväliin punaista. Pelkän kärjen dippaaminen tietysti riittää mutta tein näitä niin kauan että se alkoi pakkaantua ylemmäs.. Lisäksi kukkia tehdessä pitää olla tarkka, että pitää siveltimen oikein päin, eli siten että valkoinen tulee kukan sisäosaan eikä toisinpäin.
This is the brush I used. I already washed it, but if someone didn't understand from my former explanation, you can see here how half of the tip was dipped in red. Be careful to handle the brush correctly, the white end to the inner flower.

Pure and Sweet

Yksinkertainen ja tyttömäinen look tälläkertaa. Aloin taas tekemään näitä yötä vasten ja mietin pääni puhki ja mitään en keksinyt. Kokeilin eri versioita ja päädyin tähän. Alla on valkoinen vinoranskis jonka päälle töpötin vaaleanpunaista, lisäsin tarrat ja strassit ja valmista tuli.
Simple and girly look this time. I started making these at night and I couldn't come up with anything really creative. I tried different versions and this is the one I stuck with. The base is a white sideswipe french mani with pink dabbing. Then I just added the stickers and rhinestones and ta-dah, done.

Mutta koska kuvassa oleva kynsi on melkein ainoa onnistunut, meni muihin hermo joten otin pois.
But because the nail in this pic is almost the only one that succeded, I lost it with the other ones so I removed them.

Fast Cat

Siitä on noin vuosi, kun aloitin tämän kynsiharrastuksen. Ensimmäinen pelkkää yksiväristä kynttä hienompi lakkaus olikin leopardikynnet, joten päätin nyt sitten pitkästä aikaa tehdä ne taas, hieman erilaiset silti :) Laitan postauksen loppuun kuvan niistä ensimmäisistä kynsistä.
It's been a year, since I started this nail art -hobby. The first mani I made was a leopardspot one, so I decided to make them again, a bit different though. I'll add a photo of them at the end of this post.

Beessi pohjalakka on Wild and Crazyn W375. Lakattuani sitä jopa viisi kerrosta, tein ruskeat pisteet flormarin tummanruskealla lakalla, jota en löydä mistään vaikka sitä eilen käytin.. miten hajamielinen ihminen voi olla? Anyway, käytin sen lakan omaa sivellintä pisteiden tekemiseen. Mustat viirut tein akryylillä, koska se ei leviä topcoatin kanssa. Sitten vain lisäsin helmet ja strassit.
The beige background polish is Wild and Crazy's W375. I put 5 coats of it and added the dark brown spots with a flormar's polish, which I can't find anywhere, even though I used it yesterday... how absent-minded can a person be? Anyway, I used that polish's own brush to make the dots. I used black acryl to draw the black lines and spots, and for the finish I used some rhinestones and pearls.
